Mr. Wheedleton was born and raised on his family farm at the eastern edge of Dorchester County. He graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1988 and earned a B.S. in Education from Penn State University and an MBA from Johns Hopkins. He has worked in Education, Business Development, and Strategic Planning in a variety of environments across the country including Corporate, Nonprofit, K-12, and Higher Education. He has been able to leverage certifications as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Myers-Briggs Facilitator, and Yoga Mindfulness to help organizations and communities collaborate to find solutions to challenging problems. Chris moved back home to help with family health challenges, fell in love with his wife Jodie, and started to work with our community to leverage the best practices he learned across the country to help make a positive impact in Dorchester County. He was elected as District 5 representative on the Board of Education in 2024, where he is working to improve connections with our entire community and our education system. He and his family are working together to restore Home Place Farm to the natural wonder and legacy that it has been for over 100 years in the north Dorchester community.
