Volunteer With the Dorchester County Foundation

The Dorchester County Foundation is building a network of community members who want to get involved and help local students, schools, educators elevate educational opportunities across Dorchester County.

Whether you have a few hours a year or want to take a more active role, we welcome you.  Volunteer opportunities include providing career guidance, guest speaking, and tutoring math and literacy, assisting teacher-led projects (e.g., field trips), among other ways to engage. 

The Advisory Board — also known as the “Friends of the Foundation” — is a semi-formal group of community supporters who:

1. Share ideas and community connections
2. Help identify opportunities and partnerships
3. Support fundraising and outreach efforts
4. Serve as ambassadors for the Foundation
5. Participate in occasional meetings and events

The advisory board is a flexible and effective way to get involved and help strengthen educational opportunities in our community.
